Three die in traffic accident

HARIPUR, Aug 17: Three factory workers were killed while two others were seriously injured when their van collided on Thursday evening with another van near the Labour Colony in Hattar, about 12km from here.

Police said the van was on its way to Haripur from the Hattar Industrial Estate.

According to an official of the Kot Najibullah police station, the accident occurred after one of the tyres of the factory workers’ van burst, causing the vehicle to overturn and crash against a passenger van coming from the opposite direction.

Two of the workers were killed instantly while another one did not survive while being taken to the Ayub Medical Complex.

The injured and bodies were initially taken to the district headquarters hospital.

The deceased were identified as Abbas of Kamala village in Kot Najibullah and Shoaib of village Dheenda and Ehtesham.
