KARACHI, Aug 17: Three ships to load and offload containers and edible oil were accommodated berths at QICT and MPT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Meanwhile, another container ship also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy stood at 60pc as six ships, Sima Pride, Pacheco, Sinai, Shad Wan Island, Lauren and Multan, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, edible oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 23,187 tons comprising 13,811 tons of import and 9,376 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as Pacheco, Sima Pride and Lauren left the port.
