JACOBABAD, Aug 16: A villager was shot dead and four members of his family were injured when they offered resistance to thieves who had broken into their house in the Mauladad area on Wednesday night.
Seven armed men broke into the house of Mohammad Malook Machhi in Bati Wasti in Detho deh to commit theft. The inmates of the house woke up and offered resistance. The thieves opened fire with Kalashnikovs, killing Mohammad Malook, 60, and injuring his brothers Pandhi Khan and Allah Dino and nephews Ghulam Shabbir and Haji Khan.
