LAHORE, Aug 15: The first of the two rugby matches being played between the Iranian Rugby team and the Pakistan Development Squad was won by Iran 44-0 at the DHA Stadium here on Wednesday.

Despite brave tackling, the young Pakistan side, comprising university students from Islamabad, Sindh, Punjab and the Army found itself trailing 20-0 at the end of the first half. The visitors scored easily over them to complete their victory.

Iran now plays the Pakistan Senior team in the second match being played at the same venue on Thursday.
