LAHORE, Aug 14: All-rounder Abdul Razzaq is not likely to sign the central contract with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) till the deadline ending on Wednesday and he is also going to England to play county cricket for Worcestershire.
In a brief chat with reporters, Razzaq said, he had not made up his mind so far to sign the central contract. However, he added that he was going to England on Wednesday to strike a deal with Worcestershire.
On the other hand, Razzaq denied rumours that he was going to play in the Indian Cricket League (ICL).
Like Razzaq, Mohammad Yousuf, who was also overlooked for the Twenty20 World Championship, has also not signed the central contract with the PCB so far. The last date of signing the contract is Aug 15.
The PCB has already announced that any player, who joins the ICL, will face a ban. However, former Test cricketers Javed Miandad and Intikhab Alam have supported the players who wanted to play in the ICL, saying it is their right.
