LAHORE, Aug 14: Although the final decision regarding the matter will be taken by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s ruling committee on Thursday, the Sui Gas team is likely to be included in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy 2007-08, starting from the first week of October.

Sui Gas had been relegated to Grade-II for finishing at the bottom in last year’s Quaid-i-Azam Trophy but it would be included to increase the total participation of teams in the event from 21 to 22.

There is a possibility of objection from some regions over the inclusion as it is believed that the departmental team has no strength to compete with first class teams in the premier event of the domestic season.
