Near Sukh Bias river bridge, the vehicle overturned in a bid to save a pedestrian. As a result driver Munir Ahmed and one Mukhtaran Bibi were killed on the spot. Two bodies could not be identified.

The injured are: Muhammad Saleem, Rafiq, his children Ahsan, Mohsin and wife Hamidan, Yasmeen, Shamsa, wife of deceased driver Munir Ahmed, Muhammad Ashraf, Roona, Abida, Abbas, Sana, Razia, Tanveer and Umari. Ambulances of the DHQ hospital were present to shift the critical passengers to Lahore but their drivers were reportedly absent. Allahyar’s wife Mumtaz was always at odds with his mother and he was fed up with this routine. Finally, Allahyar, with the help of his friend Mazhar, beheaded Mumtaz, threw her body into Ravi River and buried her head in a field.

Later, Mumtaz’s father Muhammad Nawaz reported to Harappa police about his daughter’s disappearance. Police arrested Allahyar and recovered Mumtaz’s body. Mazhar is still at large.
