KARACHI: No school holiday today

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Aug 14: All educational institutions will remain open on Wednesday (today), officials said on Tuesday.

Dawn received numerous calls from parents who were confused whether schools would open or not on Wednesday as in the past students enjoyed a holiday the day after Independence Day.

Provincial Secretary Education, Sabhago Khan Jatoi, confirmed that all the educational institutions, including schools and colleges, would remain open on Aug 15.

Date extended

The Centralised Admissions Policy (CAP) committee has extended the date by four days for the submission of forms for colleges in the city, officials said.

Previously, the last date for submission of CAP forms to the designated bank branches was scheduled as Aug 21, which has now been extended to Aug 25, Dr Rafique Ahmed Siddiqui, Chairman of the CAP Committee, told Dawn.
