RABAT (Morocco), Aug 13: Moroccan runner Adil Kaouch has been suspended for failing a doping test at a Golden League meet last month in Rome. Kaouch, who won the 1,500-metre race at the July 13 meet, has been provisionally suspended by the IAAF, the Royal Moroccan Athletics Federation said on Monday.

Kaouch is awaiting the results of the B sample, and is continuing to prepare for this month’s world championships in Osaka, Japan.

Federation spokesman Rachid Abbar said the nature of the positive doping test was confidential.—AP
