NAWABSHAH, Aug 13: Jamaat-i-Ismali activists with the residents of Nawabshah union council-7 and 8 took out a procession here on Monday to protest against Hesco for carrying out unannounced power loadshedding and the local police for arresting some protesters on Sunday.

The procession started from the Linepar area and, after passing through different city roads, culminated into a demonstration outside the Nawabshah Press Club.

The protesters were carrying banners and placards and raising slogans against Hesco and the police.

Speaking on the occasion, Nawabshah JI chief Suroor Ahmed Qureshi, Zafar Iqbal, Abdul Wahab and others criticized Hesco for carrying out prolonged loadshedding.

They said that several complaints had been made to Hesco officials but in vain. When they protested on Sunday, they added, the B-Section police arrested some protesters and thrashed them.
