HYDERABAD: Court issues warrants against police officials

HYDERABAD, Aug 11: The civil judge and judicial magistrate-XII on Saturday issued bailable warrants against police officials including two excise officials for their continued absence from the court in different cases.
In one case the court asked the DPO of Hyderabad to ensure service of warrants against in-charge of Anti Car Lifting Cell (ACLC).
The court issued bailable warrants against AETO Pervez Mohammad Junejo and excise inspector Mazhar Rajput for making false statements in the court in a narcotics case recovery case.
The officials had claimed that 80 kilogram of charas had been found on an accused and deposed before the sessions judge but the charges were not proved.
The sessions judge directed the chief ministerial officer (CMO) of sessions court to file a complaint before concerned judicial magistrate which was accordingly done but the officials still not attended the court hence the bailable warrants. The court fixed hearing of the case for Aug 3.
In a separate matter, the court issued bailable warrants against in-charge of ACLC, inspector Mehboob Sipyo for his absence in different cases.
Notices were also issued earlier, requiring him to appear in court but he did not turn up hence the court directed the DPO of Hyderabad to ensure service of bailable warrants against him and adjourned the case Aug 23.
MANNU BHEEL: Civil judge and judicial magistrate Digri, Nadeem Badar Qazi, on Saturday remanded an accused of Manu Bheel's family members kidnapping case for five days in judicial custody.
Supervising Police Officer of Satellite town, Abid Kaimkhani appeared in court and submitted certificate of accused Mansingh Bheel, issued by district prison Mirpurkhas.
He had been remanded to judicial custody for a day by the same court on Friday and the court remanded him to judicial custody for five days.
The accused has recorded his confessional statement under section 164 CrPC.
