KARACHI, Aug 11: Four ships carrying containers, general cargo and to load cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships, Western Star, Jitra Bhum, Mol Asante and Dimitris to unload and load containers, Chitral to offload general cargo and Swat to unload crude oil were berthed.

Four ships, Conti Express, Mol Asante, Hyundai Jumbo and Wan Haai-301 departed on Saturday, while Swat, Ocean Friend, Bulk Arrow, Soon Fu, Western Star and Makran are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling activity on the wharves showed sharp rise as the total tonnage handled soared to 0.111m tons comprising 22,647 tons of export cargo including 5,228 tons of cement and 88,712 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Oel Shreyas, Wan Hai-311 with containers, Salina to load cement and Aylmar with project cargo.

Mol Admiration, PAC Antila, Cosco Lian Change with containers, Chem Cosmos with 8,500 tons of palm oil, Sea Princess and Yaad-e-Mostafa to load 18,000 and 17,000 tons of cement, Song Shan with general cargo and Iran Yamin with steel coils are due to arrive on Monday.
