By Saleem Shahid

QUETTA, Aug 10: Three blasts were reported from the provincial capital on Friday night. According to police, two motorcyclists hurled a hand-grenade at the directorate of the Excise Department on the Sariab Road.

Several rooms were damaged in the blast, police officials said. “The hand-grenade was locally-made,” they said.

The second blast was reported from near the University of Information Technology in Jinnah Town.

The third blast took place in the Killi Barat area. An explosive device planted near the house of a government contractor damaged a wall. No casualty was reported in any of the three incidents.

On Wednesday night, a hand-grenade was thrown at the house of the civil judge of Nushki, Mohammad Omar Kohkar, in the Sariab area.
