KOHAT, Aug 10: The Board of Secondary and Intermediate Education, Kohat, on Friday announced the names of position-holders of the intermediate examination held this year. The BISE chairman at a press conference said that out of a total of 24,464 students who appeared in both part-I and part-II exams, 13,025 were declared successful, with a pass percentage of 53.24.

Mohammad Hussain and Mohammad Hamad Gul of the Cadet College Kohat and Shoeb Aqdas of the Garrison Cadet College Kohat stood first, second and third, respectively, in the overall result.

They got 981, 979 and 976 marks out of 1,100.

Among the top 20 position-holders, 22 belong to the Cadet College Kohat, 11 to the Garrison Cadet College Kohat, two to the Hira College Karak and one belongs to the Danish College Karak.

In the pre-medical group, the top three positions went to the Cadet College Kohat while students of the Garrison Cadet College Kohat excelled in the pre-engineering group.

In the humanities group, Falak Naz stood first with 821 marks, Anila Riaz second with 803 marks and Munawar Sultan grabbed the third position with 801 marks.

In the general science group, Momina Bibi, Nabeela Sambreen and Anila got 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions, respectively, with 845, 815 and 811 marks.
