KARACHI, Aug 10: Two ships carrying containers and iron ore were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press. Meanwhile, three more ships with containers, chemicals and furnace oil also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy was maintained at 60pc as seven ships, QIA Fuja’a, Sinai, Shad Wan Island, Maria Bulk, Gemini and Liquid Success and Multan, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, coal, edible oil, chemicals and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 37,570 tons comprising 27,710 tons of import and 9,860 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing activity was at halt, while QIA Fuja’a was expected to leave the port.
