KARACHI, Aug 9: The Sindh Privatisation Commission (SPC) will present the summary of the Sindh industries department regarding the sale of the defunct Sindh Road Transport Corporation’s (SRTC) property before the provincial cabinet meeting scheduled for Aug 22.

This was decided at a meeting of the SPC, presided over by the Adviser to the Chief Minister on Finance, M.A. Jalil.

The secretary, SPC, said that the Sindh industries department had suggested selling the property of the SRTC in the interior of Sindh to the relevant city or district governments at the prescribed rates.

The meeting was told that the chief secretary had sent the summary for the appointment of a new chairman of the SPC after his approval.

The meeting decided to deposit the funds of the SPC into Habib Bank. The meeting also approved the appointments of drivers and peons in the SPC on daily wages.
