KARACHI, Aug 9: Two container ships were accommodated berths at QICT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday. Meanwhile, two more ships carrying containers and iron ore also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy stood at 70 per cent as eight ships, Pacheco, ACX Tsubaki, Nedlloyd Oceania, Sinal, Shad Wan Island, Mana Bulk, Gemini and Vema Ocean, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, coal, edible oil and diesel oil.

A cargo volume of 99,422 tons comprising 77,025 tons of import and 22,397 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as Nedlloyd Oceania, ACX Isubaki, Pacheco and Vema Ocean left the port.
