According to reports, Hafiz Bashir Ahmad Qaisrani, 65, a resident of a remote Lakhani village in the foothills of Suleman Ranges (Taunsa Sharif tehsil), walked from his village to Dera Ismail Khan. Two motorcyclists namely, Haji Allah Bakhsh Qaisrani and Abdul Majeed Lund adjudged his feat confirming that he covered the distance without any interval. They said Hafiz Bashir would take lunch and dinner while walking as he had carried appurtenance with him.

The locals awarded him cash award and decorated him with Baloch turban. Speaking to Dawn, an excited Hafiz Bashir said he was quite fit and could cover even more distance on foot. “Where there is a will, there is a way,” he gave the message. — Correspondent
