‘NIS beacon for youth’

SARGODHA, Aug 8: The National Internship Scheme (NIS) will prove a beacon for the highly educated youth, Governor Khalid Maqbool said at a ceremony to give appointment letters to the postgraduates of the University of Sargodha under the NIS. He said the NIS would enable educated people to improve the working of various departments. He said that more than Rs2 billion had been spent on development works at the University of Sargodha in the last three years. He did not answer a question regarding recruitment of retired and influential people under the NIS.

The governor also handed keys of auto rickshaws to various people under the president’s self-employment scheme.
