MANSEHRA, Aug 8: An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale jolted three districts of the NWFP — Mansehra, Battagram and Kohistan — on Wednesday morning, the Met office said.

The earthquake panicked the people in different areas of these cities. The people came out of their homes and assembled in open spaces to escape any harm.

According to the Peshawar Met office, the mild intensity earthquake’s epicentre was 350 kilometres in the north of Peshawar in Tajikistan.
