Hockey team reaches Beijing

BEIJING, Aug 5: The Pakistan hockey team reached the Chinese capital on Sunday evening to participate in the four-nation Good Luck Beijing International hockey tournament, starting from Wednesday.

The press counsellor of the Pakistan’s embassy and representatives of the organising committee of the tournament received the team at the airport.

On the occasion, Pakistan captain Rehan Butt said the basic purpose of participating in the tournament was to give maximum exposure to inexperienced players and to prepare them for the upcoming Asia Cup and Champions Trophy.
