KARACHI, Aug 5: The Sindh Bachayo Action Committee has planned a rally for Aug 17 in protest against demolition of villages in the city and recruitment on political grounds.

Raising other issues like failure of rulers in providing relief activities in flood-hit areas and downsizing in various departments, the rally will start from Rally Chowk and terminate at the Karachi Press Club.

The decision was taken at a meeting, presided over by SBA Committee Chairman Dr Qadir Magsi, held at Quba Auditorium on Sunday. The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal MNA Asadullah Bhutto, Jamiat-i-Ulema Islam Senator Khalid Mehmood Soomro, Sindh Awami National Party President Shahi Syed, National Party President Dr Abdul Hai Baloch, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s Sindh chapter president Zubair Khan, Sindh Pashtunkhwah Milli Awami Party President Hakim Ali Khan Mandokhel, Sindh Taraqi Passand Party leader Ali Hassan Chandio, Jamaat-i-Islami leader Birjees Ahmed and Maulana Obaidullah Bhutto.

The committee planned visit to the villages on Aug 9. The PTI will hold a public meeting on Aug 26 at Lasbella Chowk where Imran Khan will speak.—PPI
