NOWSHERA, Aug 4: Provincial president of the Awami National Party Afrasiab Khattak has dissolved the party’s organisation in five constituencies of the Nowshera district.

Addressing a workers’ convention here on Saturday, he said party tickets would be allotted to candidates in PF-12, PF-13, PF-14, PF-15 and PF-16 after the announcement of election date.

Mr Khattak urged the workers to prepare for general elections to secure the rights of the Pukhtun.

Expressing concern over the situation in the tribal areas, he said that Pukhtuns should unite under the ANP leadership.

He said ANP would not accept President Gen Pervez Musharraf with or without uniform. He also discussed the law and order situation in the NWFP.

Other party members, including district secretary-general (Nowshera) Mian Rashid Ali Shah Kakakhel and other ANP leaders, attended the convention.
