SSGC signs MoU with German firm

KARACHI, Aug 3: Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC) and Hydrometer GmbH, Germany-based global leader in digital utilities metering solutions, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for Pakistan’s first Automated Meter Reading (AMR) System.

This was announced by the spokesman of the SSGC in a statement issued here on Friday.

He maintained that the system would allow 100 per cent accuracy in billing, eliminate shortcomings of old infrastructure and reduce gas wastages.

SSGC Managing Director Munawar Baseer Ahmad and CEO Hydrometer GmBG. Johannes Sappa signed the documents on behalf of their respective organisations.—APP
