KARACHI: Health department jobs

Published August 3, 2007

KARACHI, Aug 2: The Sindh health department through a notification issued here on Thursday advised the district coordination officers as well as the EDOs for health not to advertise vacancies on their own, particularly those related to the health department.

Provincial health department sources giving details of the notification told APP that an advertisement was published in local dailies on Thursday under which the DCO of Sukkur had invited applications by doctors against the vacant posts in BPS-19 at government hospitals in the district.

Sindh Health Minister Syed Sardar Ahmed, taking notice of the advertisement, said it was an encroachment on authority and that only the health minister was the competent authority to seek applications against vacancies (senior and gazetted posts).—APP
