KARACHI: FIA official summoned on complaint of two Chinese
KARACHI, Aug 2: Two Chinese nationals have accused FIA inspector Noor Mohammad Khan Kaka of depriving them of $1,000, four cellphones and other valuables during their arrest on Aug 6, 2006.
An additional sessions judge, East, Abdur Rehman Bhatti, taking action on a written complaint of the Chinese national on Thursday summoned the FIA inspector with the public prosecutor concerned to the court on Aug 6 for explanation. The FIA official is the investigation officer of the case against the Chinese.
The Chinese, identifying themselves as Kim How Weon and Woung Cheog Ok, in their application have submitted that they were arrested by the FIA in Gulistan-i-Jauhar and stripped of the money and valuables they had on them.
The FIA Passport Circle had arrested 14 Chinese and six Koreans in the locality and registered an FIR (421/06) against them under Sections 419,420,468,471 and 109 of the PPC. They were also booked under Sections 3, 13 and 14 of the Foreign Act.
The accused have got bail in the case and are reportedly living in a rest house in Gulistan-i-Jauhar.—A Reporter
