FAISALABAD, July 30: A man gunned down his mother-in-law and a brother-in-law over a family dispute in the vicinity of Tarkhani police station on Monday. Reports said Ghulam Shabbir’s wife, after developing differences with him, left the house and came to her parents at Chak 531-GB. Shabbir had been trying to convince his wife to return home, but his in-laws were reportedly creating problems.

On Monday, Shabbir went to his in-laws and again tried to persuade his wife to return home, but his mother-in-law Razia and her son Ishaq exchanged hot words with him. He became infuriated and left.

Later, he returned along with his accomplices and opened fire on his in-laws, killing Razia and Ishaq on the spot. Shabbir’s father-in-law Pehlwan also sustained injuries.

Police arrested the accused and his accomplices and registered the case.
