SHEIKHUPURA, July 30: A Kharian union council naib nazim was shot dead by an unidentified assailant near his village Chachandu on Monday. Reports said Shahadat Ali Bhatti was on his way to his outhouse from home when someone in an ambush opened fire, killing him on the spot. The police said the motive behind the killing could not be ascertained.
