MANDI BAHAUDDIN, July 30: A rangers recruit died while 10 others were hospitalised after lightning hit them at the Rangers Training Academy here on Monday morning.

The recruits were busy in shooting at that time. Ghulam Mohammad of Jaranwala died at the spot while 10 others sustained injuries. Three of them — Khalilur Rehman, Attiqur Rehman and Javed Ahmed — were brought to the Mandi DHQ hospital in criticalk condition. Others were were treated at the ranger’s hospital.
