NAWABSHAH, July 30: The District and Sessions Judge Nawabshah, Mr Ghulam Qadir Leghari, adjourned the hearing of Rasool Bux Brohi murder case till August 15, as former SP and In-charge of the Lyari Task Force, Chaudhry Aslam could not be produced in the court on medical grounds, on Monday.
All the other accused, including DSP Irfan Bahadur, Inspectors Sarwar Commando, Nasirul-Hassan and Ishaque Lashari, Baharuddin Babar, Syed Safdar Shah, Asif Jameel, Mir Farosh, Mujeebur Rehman, Abdul Ghani Khushik, Iqbal Niazi, Syed Bahadur Shah, Hidayatullah and police informer Nazeer Ahmed alias Nazru Khaskheli were produced in the court.
Medical certificate of Chaudhry Aslam was produced in the court. Complainants Lal Bibi and Mohammad Ismail Brohi, widow and father of deceased Rasool Bux Brohi respectively were also present on the occasion.
Barrister Jamil, counsel of accused Nasirul Hassan and Abdul Ghani, told newsmen that investigation police had failed to provide them memos, post-mortem report and other documents pertaining to the case which were must before framing the charge.
He hoped that the documents would be provided to them before the next hearing and charges would also be framed.
PEC TEAM: A three-member team of Pakistan Engineering Council comprising Professor Dr Saeed Rehman, Dr Zaheeruddin Khan and Samiullah Mughal here on Monday visited Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology and inspected the newly-established energy and environment engineering and electronic departments.
The team was briefed by Prof Dr Saleem Raza Samoo and Prof Moinuddin Memon.
The team also met with the vice chancellor of the university, professor A.A.Junejo.
NADRA VAN: The deputy manager (MRV) regional headquarters of Nadra, Sukkur, has announced here on Monday that mobile van-03 would visit UC Jhoro Khan Shar, Ismail Khan Brohi and Sath Meel of Daur taluka on August 11, to issue Computerized National Identity Cards to the people at their doorsteps.
