By our staff reporter

RAWALPINDI, July 30: A 35-year-old man is thought to have committed suicide by shooting himself outside a mosque in Westridge on Monday, police said. Mohammad Aslam had been in distress since his wife settled with her parents some 18 months ago.

Police said Aslam got out of the mosque after saying his prayers and shot himself with a pistol in the premises of the mosque. The police investigating officer said that the scene of crime showed that Aslam had committed suicide.

He had been in distress since his wife left his house due to domestic unrest. The deceased who was also unemployed, left a three-year-old baby boy behind.

Earlier, on Sunday, a 22-year-old man had committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope in his house in Fauji Colony Priwadhai
