Chinese firm offers Punjab CNG buses

LAHORE, July 29: A Chinese firm has offered Punjab CNG buses.

The firm, YUNMA, can supply Punjab 250 to 300 buses every month if it inks a deal with the provincial government, said YUNMA representative in Pakistan Shahzad Ahmed, Chief Executive Akbar Ali and Director Dewan Chander in a joint statement released here on Sunday.

The firm is already working in the CNG sector in Pakistan in collaboration with its local partners. It offers 18-month warranty on its buses, which have modern technology, security cameras, separate seats for women, display screens and speed limits to avoid accidents, the statement said.

A YUNMA delegation will soon meet the Punjab governor, chief minister and Lahore district nazim in this regard, it added.

The firm has already inked a deal with the Frontier government and the Peshawar city district government on the supply of busses, the statement said.— APP
