MIRPURKHAS, July 29: A girl and a woman attempted to commit suicide by taking pesticide over domestic problems in two villages of the district on Sunday.
Report said that Laso, 15, daughter of Maghan Kolhi, consumed pesticide in Babu Shah village near here. She was taken to the Mirpurkhas Civil Hospital in unconscious condition where she was provided first aid. Her condition is said to be stable. In another incident, Bhagbhari, 17, wife of Aslam Shar, tried to commit suicide by taking pesticide in Dhalyar village, Khipro taluka. She was taken to the Civil Hospital in serious condition where doctors were trying to save her life.

Mirpurkhas Akhbar Faroshan Union president Mohammad Ayoub Maher and chairman Abdul Qadir Siddiq have congratulated Syed Afzal Ahmed Shah and Tikka Khan Abbasi for being elected as president and secretary-general of Pakistan Akhbar Faroshan Union, respectively.
In a joint press statement, they said that the merger of the two factions of the union would benefit newspaper sellers of the country.
