MANSEHRA, July 29: The Earthquake Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Authority (Erra) has approved tenders of Rs620 million for the reconstruction of bridges and roads in earthquake-devastated Balakot, Dawn learnt on Sunday.

Sources told this correspondent that the authority would start the reconstruction work on seven roads and nine bridges on Monday.

They said that four bridges would be rebuilt on the Katha Sishter-Rajwal section of the road at an estimated cost of Rs8 million.

Five bridges will be constructed at a cost of Rs20 million in Balakot.
