HYDERABAD: Drainage system component inaugurated

HYDERABAD, July 29: District Nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil here on Saturday night inaugurated the rising main from Apwa pumping station unit No.8 up to southern treatment plant.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that an amount of Rs92.1 million has been spent on laying the 20 inch diameter two rising mains to dispose of rain water.

He said in addition to this, an amount of Rs30 million was being spent on the construction of pumping house. He said that a total amount of Rs303 million would be spent on this project, which includes the construction of the Apwa pumping station, sewerage lines, pumping machinery, generators and transformers.

MPA Naeem Ishtiaque and Naib Taluka Nazim Latifabad Shujauddin Shaikh also spoke on the occasion. A large number of elected representatives and officials of district government attended the inauguration ceremony.
