LAHORE, July 28: The Punjab organising committee of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has said it has almost completed the work of selecting ‘suitable’ candidates for the National Assembly and the provincial legislature across Punjab.
According to provincial MQM spokesperson
Ansar Ali Buttar, the party will field candidates for each and every constituency from Punjab.
He said the party had withstood the recent political jolt (an aftermath of May 12 bloodshed in Karachi) and was again through the expansion work in full swing.
Mr Buttar said the MQM’s Central Coordination Committee was scheduled to meet next month to finalise lists of party candidates.
