HARIPUR, July 28: A man and his wife were killed and four of their children suffered injuries in a road accident here on Saturday.

The critically injured children were sent to the Ayub Medical Complex in Abbottabad, police and hospital sources said.

They said a Haripur-bound car carrying six persons of the same family hailing from district Khushab collided head-on with an Abbottabad-bound coaster. Abid Majeed, son of Majeed Mirza, was killed on the spot.

Area people immediately shifted the injured persons to a nearby district hospital where Mr Abid’s wife Iffat was referred to the Ayub Medical Complex Abbottabad. But she bled to death on the way, police said.

The names of the children injured in the accident included Adil, Ali, Sonia and Jeeya.
