HYDERABAD: ST objects to opening of liquor shop

HYDERABAD, July 28: The Sunni Tahreek has demanded of the Sindh chief minister, chief secretary, home secretary and secretary excise and taxation to cancel the permit given to Ms S.K.

Traders for liquor shop in the Rayyan Arcade failing which the ST will resort to protest. It asked the Sindh government to take action against those responsible for granting permission for liquor shops.

Tahreek leaders Mohammad Khalid Qadri, Khalid Hassan Attari, Mohammad Abid Qadri and Mohammad Amin Qadri addressing a press conference at the press club here on Saturday said that an advertisement was published in newspapers inviting objections against opening of a liquor shop in the Rayyan Arcade.

They said no law existed on the statute books to establish liquor shops in the predominantly Muslim residential areas.
