KARACHI, July 28: Nine ships carrying containers, steel and to load cement are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where five ships, Corin Thaikos, T.S. Ragota, Calvin P. Titus, Bux Master to unload and load containers and Ju Bao Men to offload general cargo.
Five ships, Nordriff, T.S. Ragota, Emerald Coral, New Mariner-1 and Santain departed on Saturday, while Calvin P. Titus, Pretty Lady, You Met, Adriatic Arrow and Tarpon Santingo are due to sail out on Sunday.
A total tonnage of 67,535 tons comprising 11,552 tons of export cargo and 55,983 tons of import tonnage was handled on Saturday.
The following ships are due on Sunday: Swat with crude oil, Kota Halus, Gallant Wave, Global Prosperity, Nord Woge with containers, Nord Wave, Split with coal, Sea Spirit to load 16,500 tons of cement and Leed Castle with steel.
The following vessels are due on Monday: Mol Ability, Harmony, Chemstar with containers and Daspen to load cement.
