QUETTA, July 27: Pakistan Workers’ Party staged a demonstration to protest against Raziq Bugti’s killing, media consultant of the chief minister, and blamed nationalist parties for his death.

The protest was organised outside the press club here on Friday.

PWP’s activists raised slogans against nationalists and termed them saboteurs and terrorists.

Qasid Khan and Alam Khan Ghilzai said that Raziq Bugti had been eliminated because of his views against anti-progress forces.

Highlighting similarities between the deaths of Raziq Bugti and PWP leader Nasrullah Khan Kakar, who was killed on March 1, 2006, they said that the PWP leader had been assassinated because he opposed nationalists for blackmailing the government on development projects in Balochistan.

Protesters urged the government to immediately arrest Raziq Bugti’s killers otherwise terrorists would be encouraged to target other pro-government politicians.
