LARKANA, July 27: A civil judge of Qambar, in a surprise raid on Nasirabad police station on Friday, recovered five men kept in illegal confinement in the lock-up. SHO Ghulam Hussain Dahri failed to produce any papers validating their detention. The judge set them free and asked the SHO and ASI Ali Hassan to appear in the court on Saturday with the record, if they had any, and the detained five.

Those found in habeas corpus were Sabir Jatoi, Saddam Phulpoto, Rahib Phulpoto, Qaim-uddin Shaikh and Arbab Thaheem.

Judge Gurmuhkdas had conducted the raid on the directive of Qambar-Shahdadkot district and session judge Imdad Hussain Khoso. —Correspondent
