ISLAMABAD, July 27: A man was shot at and injured during a robbery here on Friday, police said. According to details, two gunmen riding a motorcycle intercepted Waqas Ahmad, near the National Institute of Health (NIH). He was on his way to Chatah Bakthwar, from his house in Chaklal Scheme-III, to deliver some money in connection with a plot.

The gunmen demanded money from him and opened fire on him when he resisted. A bullet hit him in his right shoulder and he fell on the road.

The criminals snatched Rs9,500 from him and escaped. On hearing the gunshot, people of the surrounding area rushed to the spot and found Ahmad lying in a pool of blood.
