Eagles Club in close victory

LAHORE, July 26: Three more matches were decided in the Lahore district Inter-club basketball championship on Thursday.

In a well-contested match, Eagles Club defeated Defence Club 43-42 after trailing 22-23 at first-half.

Vicky (14) was the only cager who touched double figures for the winners. Samray (14), Mubashar (12) and Ammad (12) fought well for the losers.

Don Bosco (Urdu-A) carved out a 45-35 win against New Age Club after leading 20-14 at the breather. Raheel and Husnain with eight points each were the chief scorers for the winners. Javed Younis (12) and Haroon (10) excelled for the losing side.

Defence Club Whites outclassed Sheikhupura Eagles 80-48 with Rehman (21), Abdul Rehman (19) and Khalid (14) the major scorers.—Sports Correspondent
