Karach ‘B’ score narrow win

KARACHI, July 26: Aurangzaib’s match-winner helped Karachi ‘B’ edge past Karachi ‘D’ 3-2 in the PFF Youth Cup soccer at CDGK Stadium on Thursday.

Atif opened the scoring for Karachi B in the seventh minute, while Farhan doubled the lead in the 13th minute.

Karachi D fought back and reduced the margin through Mohammad Ayaz in the 32nd minute and his team-mate Waseem Qadir restored parity two minutes before halftime.

Aurangzaib slotted home in the 67th minute to rescue Karachi B.

Our Sports Correspondent adds from Lahore: Sahiwal outplayed Lahore ‘A’ 5-1 at Batapur ground, Lahore.

The winners opened the account in the 33rd minute through Asim Manzoor’s free-kick, while Lahore ‘A’ drew level nine minutes later with Mustajab Haider's low drive into the left corner.

Sahiwal’s Ali Raza slammed back-to-back goals the 56th and 70th minutes to make it 3-1. Umair scored in the 75th and 85th minutes to complete the tally.
