KARACHI, July 25: Over a dozen vessels carrying DAP fertiliser, general cargo and to load cement are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Iran Tabatabaei, APL Shenzhen, Tower Bridge to unload and load containers and Sunniva, an oil tanker, were berthed after the departure of six.

The ships which departed included Oel Trust, Oel Spirit, Champion Serenity, Soraya, Sea Brilliance and Kama Bhum, while Al-Abdullah, Tower Bridge, APL Shenzhen, Stolt Ami, Iran Tabatabaei, Betatank, Bulk Arrow and Sunniva are due to sail out on Thursday.

A total tonnage of 72,059 tons comprising 39,215 tons of export cargo and 32,844 tons of import tonnage was handled on Wednesday.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Hyundai Advance, Kota Hakim, Marina Star-1, Moheriff and Calvin P. Titus with containers, Stentor with DAP fertiliser, Adiatic Arrow to load cement, New Mariner and Eny with steel, Xiang Cheng, Emerald Coral and Ju Bao Men with general cargo and Muammer Yagoi with project cargo.
