Abbottabad to host women’s training camp

LAHORE, July 24: The Regional Cricket Academy Abbottabad will be the venue for the third training camp of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) when 25 women probables will start training there from Aug 1.

The camp will continue till Sept 8 for the preparation of World Cup qualifiers to be held in Pakistan in December.

Earlier, the probables of the first phase of Pakistan fitness training camp and later the Pakistan U-19 team, touring England from July 25, attended the training camp in Abbotabad, a rather cold city situated in the NWFP province and perhaps the only venue having best facilities in the prevailing humid conditions.

Probables: Bismah Maroof, Taskeen Qadeer, Sana Javed, Sabahat Rashid, Marina Iqbal (Lahore), Almas Akram, Zeba Manzoor, Sabeen Abdul Samad, Saima Jamil (Sialkot), Sana Mir, Urooj Mumtaz Khan, Nain Abidi, Batool Fatima, Arman Khan, Javeria Khan (Karachi), Sajida Shah, Sumaiya Siddiqui (Hyderabad), Asmavia Iqbal, Sania Khan (Multan).

Zehmarad Afzal, Maryum Hassan Shah, Naila Nazir (Islamabad), Qanita Jalil (Abbotabad), Nida Dar (Gujranwala), Sadia Yousuf (Faisalabad).
