DHAKA, July 24: The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) general secretary Mahbub Anam resigned on Tuesday following vice-president Gazi Golam Dastagir who quit last week.
“They resigned as Bangladesh’s interim government is eager to depoliticise the cricket board,” BCB President Abdul Aziz said.
Anam and Dastagir were linked to major political parties in the country and so had to resign, Aziz said without giving further details.—Reuters
