KARACHI, July 24: The Sindh Assembly’s Public Accounts Committee meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, could not make be held for want of quorum. PAC Chairman Jam Madad Ali told Dawn that the agenda of the meeting was home affairs but the opposition party members did not turn up. In their absence, he did not deem it proper to proceed in accordance with the business fixed for the meeting and postponed the meeting till Aug 1.
In reply to a question, Sindh Assembly Secretary Hadi Bukhsh Buriro said that the meeting was postponed for want of quorum as despite waiting for over an hour they only received a message from two more members about their non-availability for the meeting.
