KARACHI: Two killed in group clash over plot

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, July 24: Three people were gunned down in various localities here on Tuesday. Two men were shot dead when two groups traded fire over a land dispute in Bin Qasim along the National Highway. Police said two men of the same group, Luqman and Ahmed Baloch, were killed and Mohammad Rahim was wounded. They said the cause of the dispute was a plot and both parties claimed its ownership.

Bomb hoax

A hoax bomb call was received at the Cantonment railway station which created panic among the passengers of a train.

Police said a bomb disposal squad arrived there to scan the Sindh Express as the anonymous caller had said the bomb had been planted in the train. The BDS officials scanned the train and did not find any bomb.
