KARACHI, July 24: Nine ships carrying containers, general cargo and coal are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, Oel Trust, Kama Bhum, Fac Aries to unload and load containers, Glorious Leader to offload cars and Beta Tank-2 to load naphtha were berthed after the departure of eight.

The ships which left the port included Victory-1, Fac Aries, Mol Admiration, Liberty Glory, Ocean Frontier, Chemstar Brave, Sun Flower and Glorious Leader, while Olympic Serenity, Soraya, G. Brilliance, Oel Spirit, Kama Bhum, Oel Trust, Zhong Hua-7, Tower Bridge and Betatank-2 are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.145m tons comprising 43,466 tons of export cargo, notably cement and clinker and 0.101m tons of import tonnage was handled on Tuesday.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Stolt Ami with chemicals, Iran Tabatabaei, Wan Hai-315, Hyundai Advance, Marina Star with containers, Pretty Lady, You Mei with coal, Emerald Coral and Multan with general cargo.
